What is a Micro-Fat Transfer
Microfat transfer is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the extraction of small amounts of fat from one area of the body and then reinjecting that fat into another area to enhance volume and improve contour.
The process utilizes a cannula to ensure that the fat cells are harvested and injected with precision. One of the key benefits of microfat transfer is that it uses the patient's own fat, which reduces the risk of allergic reactions and provides a more natural look and feel compared to synthetic fillers. Additionally, the procedure can stimulate collagen production in the treated areas, leading to longer-lasting results.

\Prior to the procedure, a consultation is required to determine your eligibility as a candidate. This ensures that we can tailor the treatment to meet your specific needs and expectations. After the consultation the service will be scheduled and prepping instructions will be sent.
The day of the procedure make sure to come without any makeup or lotions on. A mild sedative will be provided for comfort, this will impair your ability to drive and we do recommend having someone to drop off and pick up the client for the procedure.
After the fat is removed from the area it is filtered in order to make it micro-fat. Once this process is complete the micro-fat is ready to inject.
Why choose a Micro-Fat Transfer over regular dermal fillers?
Choosing microfat transfer over traditional dermal fillers depend on the individuals needs and goals. Here are some reasons why someone might opt for microfat transfer:
1. Natural Results: Microfat transfer uses the patient’s own fat, which can provide a more natural look and feel compared to synthetic fillers.
2. Longevity: While fillers typically last around 2 years, the results from microfat transfer can be more enduring. The injected fat can integrate into the surrounding tissue, potentially lasting for years, although some of the transferred fat may be reabsorbed by the body.
3. Dual Benefit: The procedure can enhance volume in the desired area but also removes unwanted fat from the area where the fat is taken. This dual benefit can be appealing for those looking to improve multiple areas in one procedure.
4. Reduced Risk of Allergic Reactions: Microfat transfer uses the patient’s own fat, that leads to a lower risk of allergic reactions or adverse effects compared to synthetic fillers, which may contain substances that some individuals could react to.
5. Less Frequent Treatments: Patients who choose the microfat transfer may find they need fewer follow-up treatments compared to those who use fillers, which often require regular maintenance to sustain results.
Ultimately, the choice between microfat transfer and fillers should be made in consultation with one of our provider, as there are clients who are not fit for this procedure. Give us a call to schedule a consult!
