What is Bellafill?
Bellafill is a dermal filler that is a long-lasting filler that provides immediate results and stimulates collagen production over time. Bellafill is composed of a combination of bovine collagen and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres, over time the collagen gel metabolizes and fibroblasts migrate in and around the PMMA microspheres. The collagen provides immediate volume, while the PMMA microspheres create a scaffold for the body's own collagen to grow around.
How long does Bellafill last?
The effectiveness and patient satisfaction rates of Bellafill® have been established through 5 years when used to correct nasolabial folds, and 12 months when used to correct acne scars. Bellafill® replaces lost volume in the skin below the indentation for correction that is both immediate and lasting.
What to expect post procedure
Post-procedure there may be some temporary swelling, redness, pain, bruising, lumps or bumps, itching, and discoloration at the treatment site. Keep in mind that these symptoms are usually temporary, resolving within 7-14 days.
The results are immediate volume restored, glowing skin, and a lift in sagging skin. The months following the treatment will be when the collagen stimulating starts. The product will start to be absorbed by the skin and the PMMA microspheres will lead to collagen production and a natural lift to the skin.
