What is filler correction?
Filler correction is when we dissolve the fillers that are in the face, lips, or body. Dermal filler dissolvers, also known as hyaluronidase, are enzymes used to break down and dissolve hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers.
Why dissolve my filler?
Naturally filler is slowly absobed by the body but for different reasons a client may want it gone sooner due to filler being placed incorrectly, too much filler in an area, or some client may choose to get rid of their fillers all together.
How much dissolver will I need?
The amount of dissolver needed will be determined by a few factors:
- What filler was previously used- the stronger the filler the more product may be needed to dissolve the filler.
- How much filler was used- the more filler that has been injected the more dissolver may be needed.
What is recovery like?
After a filler dissolver treatment, some common side effects may include:
- swelling
- redness
- tenderness
- bruising
These side effects are usually temporary and should subside within a few days to a week.
It is recommended to avoid touching or massaging the treated area, applying ice packs to reduce swelling, avoiding strenuous exercise, and avoiding sun exposure immediately after the treatment.
After a week the client will be re-evaluated and if they are ready, can be injected.
