What advanced facial treatments are available?

There are several facial therapies that incorporate advanced technology to deliver impressive results. During your initial consultation, your practitioner can advise you which options best meet your needs. 

AnteAgeⓇ Stem Cells or Exosomes Microneedling

This treatment begins with a microneedling session, where a device covered in sterile needles creates hundreds of tiny channels into the deep layers of your skin. This prompts your body to create new collagen and elastin, firming and smoothing your skin from within. AnteAge stem cell growth factor serum is added and sinks into the microneedling channels where it goes to work to speed cellular regeneration. Microneedling can also be a stand-alone treatment. 

Chemical Peel

Chemical peels can treat skin discoloration, scars, and wrinkles and are most common for use on the face, but use on the chest, hands, or neck is possible, too.

There are three depths of chemical peels, light, medium, or deep. The deeper the chemical peel, the longer the recovery time required.

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is a resurfacing procedure that uses a chemical solution to remove the top layers of skin and encourage new, younger-looking skin to grow in its place. Chemical peels can treat skin discoloration, scars, and wrinkles and are most common for use on the face, but use on the chest, hands, or neck is possible, too.

What types of chemical peels are available?

VI Peel®

Trichloroacetic (TCA) peel

TCA peels are a medium depth facial peel to rejuvenate and repair your skin. After a TCA peel, your face has fewer fine lines, improved skin texture, and improved skin tone.

Oxygen peel

If you have environmentally-damaged skin, an oxygen peel is a two-step rejuvenation treatment that improves problem skin. The skin is bathed in oxygen while a technician exfoliates, smooths, and hydrates it.

Glycolic or Retin-A peel

If you struggle with acne or have sun-damaged skin, glycolic or Retin-A peels are the ideal chemical peel to improve your skin. Using vitamin A-based drugs called retinoids or natural glycolic acid from sugar cane, you can repair and rejuvenate your face.

Lactic peel

For a mild chemical peel with little to no downtime, lactic peels give your skin a boost with alpha hydroxy acids derived from milk. There is little risk of allergic reactions with lactic peels, making them ideal for patients with sensitive skin or allergies.

4-layer peel

For severe skin problems, Freya’s Lair Medical Spa providers customize the 4-layer peel to treat your specific trouble areas, including:

If needed, a 4-layer peel can include a deep cleanse, exfoliation mask, chemical peel, extractions, moisturizer, and sunscreen.

CO2 Carboxy Therapy Facial is fast and effective, as the results are visible after the first visit. For long term results it is necessary to perform a series of 4 to 6 treatments (once a week) and the result should maintain for 8-12 months.
