MEDICAL WEIGHT LOSS, HORMONE THERAPY & ADVANCED NEUROTOXIN TREATMENTS

Personalized Medical Care Designed Around Your Health, Symptoms, Goals & Individual Needs

At Riber Healthcare Clinic, we provide personalized medical care for patients seeking medically supervised weight management, hormone evaluation and therapy, medical Botox and advanced neurotoxin treatments.

Our approach goes beyond treating a single symptom. We evaluate your medical history, symptoms, laboratory results, medications, lifestyle, and individual goals to develop a treatment plan that is appropriate for you.

Every patient is different. Your treatment should be individualized—not one-size-fits-all.

MEDICAL WEIGHT LOSS

Physician-Guided Medical Weight Management

Losing weight is not always simply a matter of eating less or exercising more. Weight changes can be influenced by many factors, including hormones, metabolism, medications, nutrition, sleep, stress, digestive health, chronic medical conditions, and lifestyle.

Our medical weight-loss program combines medical evaluation, appropriate laboratory testing, prescription medications when indicated, nutrition guidance, and ongoing monitoring.

Our Medical Weight-Loss Approach

Depending on your medical history and goals, your evaluation may include consideration of:

  • Hormonal and metabolic factors
  • Thyroid function
  • Nutrition and nutrient absorption
  • Digestive health
  • Sleep and lifestyle factors
  • Medications that may affect weight
  • Metabolic health
  • Inflammation and chronic health conditions
  • Perimenopause and menopause-related changes
  • Other medical factors that may contribute to difficulty losing or maintaining weight

Medication may be an important part of treatment, but it is only one component of a successful medical weight-management program.

Individualized Medication Management

When medically appropriate, prescription weight-loss medications may be considered. Medication selection and dosage are individualized according to your medical history, response to treatment, goals, and provider assessment.

Some patients may benefit from a lower-dose or gradual medication approach, particularly when starting treatment or when working toward maintaining their progress. Lower dosing does not eliminate potential side effects or the need for medical supervision and monitoring.

Our goal is not simply to help you lose weight quickly. We want to help you develop a realistic, medically appropriate, and sustainable weight-management plan.

HORMONE EVALUATION & HORMONE THERAPY

Personalized Hormone Care for Women and Men

Hormonal changes can affect many aspects of your health and quality of life. Patients may seek evaluation for symptoms such as:

  • Fatigue or low energy
  • Changes in weight or body composition
  • Sleep changes
  • Mood changes
  • Hot flashes or night sweats
  • Changes associated with perimenopause or menopause
  • Changes in sexual health or libido
  • Difficulty maintaining muscle mass
  • Changes in concentration or overall well-being
  • Other symptoms that may be associated with hormonal changes

Your Symptoms Tell Part of the Story

Hormone therapy should not be based on symptoms alone or on a single laboratory value.
Our providers consider your:

  • Medical history
  • Current symptoms
  • Laboratory results
  • Medications and supplements
  • Family history
  • Lifestyle
  • Age and stage of hormonal change
  • Individual health goals
  • Relevant medical records

When appropriate, laboratory testing may include hormone levels and other tests that help evaluate thyroid, metabolic, liver, nutritional, or other health factors.

Personalized Hormone Treatment

If hormone therapy is appropriate for you, your provider will discuss available treatment options, potential benefits and risks, monitoring requirements, and an individualized treatment plan.

Hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone, and treatment should be determined through an individualized medical evaluation.

MEDICAL BOTOX & NEUROTOXIN THERAPY

Medical Neurotoxin Treatment Beyond Cosmetic Wrinkles

Neurotoxin treatments can have applications beyond cosmetic facial lines.

Depending on the condition being evaluated, medical neurotoxin therapy may be considered as part of a treatment plan for certain conditions involving muscle activity, muscle tension, or nerve-related symptoms.

At Riber Healthcare Clinic, patients may be evaluated for medical neurotoxin treatment related to concerns such as:

  • Migraine
  • Certain headache-related conditions
  • Muscle spasm
  • Jaw muscle tension
  • TMJ-related symptoms
  • Temporalis muscle tension
  • Occipital-region muscle pain or tension
  • Certain nerve-related pain conditions
  • Other conditions where reducing specific muscle activity may be medically appropriate

Treatment is determined individually after evaluating your symptoms, medical history, anatomy, muscle activity, and treatment goals.

Medical Botox Is Different From Cosmetic Botox

Medical neurotoxin treatment requires more than simply choosing an injection location.
The provider must determine:

Which muscles are involved?
How active are those muscles?
How much treatment is appropriate?
Could treating one muscle affect another muscle or movement?
What is the patient’s overall medical history?

This individualized approach is particularly important when treating the jaw, temples, neck, or other areas where muscles contribute to movement and function.

ADVANCED NEUROTOXIN THERAPY

A Comprehensive Approach to Facial Muscle Balance

At Freya’s Lair Medical Spa, our advanced neurotoxin approach is based on understanding how the muscles of the face interact.

We don’t chase lines. We assess active muscles of the face.

Rather than automatically treating the same injection points on every patient, we evaluate facial movement, muscle activity, facial structure, asymmetry, and the way different muscles interact.

Full-Face Neurotoxin Assessment

Depending on your anatomy and goals, evaluation may include:

  • Forehead muscles
  • Glabella and brow depressors
  • Procerus and corrugator muscles
  • Muscles affecting the brow
  • Nasal muscles
  • Under-eye and lower-eyelid areas
  • Lip and mouth-area muscles
  • Chin muscles
  • Masseter muscles
  • Temporalis muscles
  • Neck and lower-face muscles
  • Muscles that may contribute to downward facial pull
  • Other areas of increased or asymmetric muscle activity

Not every patient needs treatment in every area.

The objective is to create an individualized treatment strategy based on your facial anatomy and muscle activity, rather than using a standardized injection pattern.

FACIAL ASYMMETRY & NEUROTOXIN THERAPY

Your Face Is Naturally Asymmetrical

Facial asymmetry can become more noticeable with aging, muscle imbalance, nerve injury, Bell’s palsy, stroke, dental changes, previous procedures, or other conditions affecting facial movement.

Neurotoxin treatment may be considered for selected patients with facial muscle imbalance. Importantly, treatment does not always need to be symmetrical.

One side of the face may have:

  • Stronger muscle activity
  • Different muscle size
  • Different nerve or muscle function
  • Different soft-tissue structure
  • Different effects from aging or previous injury

For this reason, identical injections on both sides may not always be the most appropriate approach.

A detailed evaluation allows the provider to determine whether treatment may be appropriate and which muscles should be considered.

TMJ & JAW MUSCLE TREATMENT

A Comprehensive Evaluation—Not Just Masseter Botox

TMJ and jaw-related symptoms can be complex.

Treatment should not automatically focus only on the masseter muscles.

Depending on your symptoms and anatomy, your provider may evaluate the:

  • Masseter
  • Temporalis
  • Pterygoid muscle groups
  • Other muscles involved in jaw movement
  • Lower-face muscles
  • Facial muscle balance

We also consider your jaw structure, dental history, bite, symptoms, muscle strength, and treatment goals.

Over-treating jaw muscles can affect chewing, facial movement, and function. For this reason, a personalized evaluation is an important part of determining whether neurotoxin therapy is appropriate.

OUR APPROACH

Medical Evaluation First. Treatment Second.

Whether you are interested in medical weight loss, hormone therapy, medical Botox, TMJ treatment, or advanced neurotoxin therapy, our philosophy remains the same:

Evaluate first. Understand the individual patient. Then develop the treatment plan.

We consider the complete picture rather than treating a single symptom in isolation.

Our goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized medical care while setting realistic expectations about what treatment can—and cannot—accomplish.
